TWIST BEAD!

I wanted to push myself with a new bead design and oh man was it a challenge! It looks simple enough but getting all of the twisting to work out from a design standpoint was extremely tough and trying to figure out how to make it without a 4th axis on the mill and getting everything to line up just right was a challenge in itself but we got it figured out and I’m so proud of what it turned out to be! I’ll be doing these in different materials but right now we have them in vintage crosscut canvas Micarta and 6061 aluminum! From a design standpoint it was really important to me to get all of the radiuses on the top to look like they are twisting into the main body which I think is a really cool illusion and I also wanted the bottom cut to be big enough to house a diamond knot on 275 paracord, it can also be used with 550 cord but just requires a smaller knot than a diamond knot.
